Summary of Nominee Profile
I am President of Foresta Foods, with more than 30 years of experience in agribusiness, finance, sustainable palm oil, and corporate governance.
I joined the RSPO Board of Governors in 2016, representing growers from the Rest of the World, including Latin America, Africa, Thailand, and Papua New Guinea. In July 2023, I was elected by the Board as RSPO Co-Chair and am currently serving my second tenure in this leadership role.
I have also served as Co-Chair of the RSPO Latin America Consultative Group (GCAL) since 2016 and became a member of the Assurance Services International (ASI) Global Impartiality Committee in April 2026.
During my tenure, I have worked to ensure that the perspectives and realities of Rest of the World growers are reflected in RSPO’s strategic and governance discussions. I have also built strong relationships with growers from Malaysia and Indonesia, promoting dialogue and collaboration across the principal palm oil-producing regions.
I have consistently advocated for credible, practical certification, stronger assurance systems, greater smallholder inclusion, and solutions that balance environmental and social ambitions with the operational and economic realities producers face.
As RSPO Co-Chair, I have helped guide the organisation through an important period of institutional transformation, including stronger Board oversight, the evolution of its governance structure, and the establishment of the Executive Committee. I have supported clearer accountability between the Board and the Secretariat, more effective decision-making, and the transition towards a more transparent and data-driven assurance system capable of demonstrating measurable impact.
I hold a degree in Agricultural Engineering from Zamorano University and a Master’s in Business Administration from INCAE Business School, complemented by executive studies at Kellogg School of Management and Harvard Business School.
I am seeking re-election to provide continuity during RSPO’s governance transformation, strengthen the voice of Rest of the World growers, deepen collaboration across producing regions, and help RSPO become a more effective, inclusive, and impact-driven organisation.
