His responsibilities include engagement with customers, financial institutions, certification bodies, governments, NGOs, communities, workers, and international stakeholders. Felipe brings to the RSPO Board a producer perspective grounded in operational reality, while also understanding the expectations of global buyers, regulators, financial institutions and civil society.

Summary of Organisation

DAABON Group is a Colombian, family-owned, vertically integrated agribusiness with extensive experience in the production, processing and international commercialisation of sustainable agricultural commodities and food ingredients.

Palm oil represents one of the Group’s core businesses, with activities spanning agricultural production, milling, refining, processing, logistics, commercialisation and export. This integrated model provides DAABON with direct visibility and control across the supply chain, from agricultural production to customers in international markets.

Sustainability has been embedded into DAABON’s business strategy for decades. The Group has developed substantial experience in certified sustainable and organic agriculture, traceability, biodiversity protection, climate action, responsible labor practices, community engagement and supply-chain due diligence. Its operations and products serve customers across major international markets, including Europe, North America and other regions where expectations regarding environmental and social performance continue to increase.

DAABON has actively participated in the evolution of responsible palm oil and supports RSPO as a fundamental global platform for bringing producers, processors, traders, consumer-goods companies, financial institutions and civil society together around credible sustainability standards.

The Group’s perspective is that the future of sustainable palm oil requires stronger traceability and transparency, continued protection of forests and biodiversity, measurable climate performance, respect for workers and communities, and practical mechanisms that enable producers to implement increasingly demanding standards while remaining competitive in global markets.
